"The spoken word artist with God's fire — a voice for healing, identity, and the girl child."

About

A voice shaped by purpose.

Merit Isaiah — known as Merit Speaks — is a young Nigerian spoken word artist whose gift and lived experience as an attempted abuse survivor make her double as a girl-right advocate.

She uses her voice to tell meaningful stories of what needs to be heard, to express truth on societal issues, to call for social change in necessary areas, and to use expression for healing, identity building, and the addressing of issues faced by girl children globally.

Her work is faith-driven, intentional, and unafraid — written for the girl who is still finding her voice, and the room that needs to be reminded to listen.

Testimonials

Words that found them.

"I'm Bright from Nigeria and an abuse survivor. I watched your spoken word piece about abuse survivors healing on TikTok — and that piece really changed my life. I joined your WhatsApp community and was able to directly reach you. Thank you for those words. They hit me at the point of my pain, and I'm grateful to God for bringing that video my way. I've healed and I'm moving on towards greatness. God bless you."
